Carrying Hope from Cuba to Ukraine

As we step into the second half of this year, our hearts are drawn again to two very different corners of the world—Ukraine and Cuba. In each, we see both hardship and resilience, sorrow and hope. And in both, we have dear friends who remind us why Missions Everywhere exists: to bring the hope, encouragement, and love of Christ to those who need it most.
The two photos we share today tell a story. One is of a woman in Ukraine, living in a nation scarred by war and loss, yet holding on with courage as she cares for her family and neighbors. The other is of a woman in Cuba, where daily challenges of scarcity and uncertainty weigh heavily, but her faith and gentle spirit remain a testimony of God’s presence.
Though Ukraine and Cuba look different in culture, language, and circumstance, both carry burdens that can feel overwhelming. Yet in the midst of suffering, we see how God is still moving—quietly, powerfully, and faithfully. It is in these places of deep need that Missions Everywhere longs to continue shining the light of Christ.
David and our team are praying and preparing to return to both countries before the year’s end. These journeys are not just about travel—they are about stepping into the lives of people who matter deeply to God, offering encouragement to pastors, supporting communities, and reminding the weary that they are not forgotten.
But we cannot do this alone. Missions Everywhere is only able to continue through the partnerships of those who pray, give, and stand with us. We ask you to prayerfully consider how you might join us in this next season—whether through faithful prayer covering these trips, or through a financial partnership that helps us bring supplies, resources, and the gospel of hope.
If you’d like to stay connected, we encourage you to sign up for our newsletter and learn more about how to give through our website: www.missionseverywhere.com. Together, we can continue to be a light in Ukraine, in Cuba, and wherever God calls us next.
Thank you for being a partner with Missions Everywhere. When we work together, the love of Christ has a way of shining through even the darkest seasons.
