From Burden to Action: Heading Back to Cuba

Missions Everywhere is heading back to Cuba.

After returning from our trip in March, there was something we couldn’t shake. What we saw, what we heard, and what we felt stayed with us. There is a growing sense of exhaustion among the people—rising food prices and daily power outages have made even the most basic parts of life incredibly difficult.

In many areas, people are not just struggling—they are worn down. Trying to find food, trying to keep up with daily life without consistent power, trying to care for their families… it’s taking a toll.

Because of this, we feel the need to go back—and soon.

This is a short trip, and it’s short notice, but we will be returning on April 17th with a small team, carrying as many essential supplies as we can. We’ll be filling suitcases with 1 lb bags of rice and beans, along with much-needed items like multivitamins, vitamin C, children’s vitamins, rechargeable lanterns, and flashlights.

These simple items can make a real difference in helping families navigate daily life right now.

While we are there, we will also be continuing conversations about a longer-term solution—specifically the possibility of helping provide solar panels for the bakery in Alamar. On our last visit, we saw firsthand how ongoing power outages forced the bakery to slow down or shut down completely, directly impacting the community that depends on it for bread and nourishment.

This trip is both about meeting immediate needs and continuing to seek sustainable solutions.

We need your help.

First, we are asking for financial support to help cover travel expenses and to purchase supplies. If you feel led to give, your support will go directly toward making this trip possible and expanding what we’re able to bring.

We are also collecting tangible donations. If you would like to contribute items such as rice and beans (1 lb bags), multivitamins, vitamin C, children’s vitamins, rechargeable lanterns, or flashlights, donations can be dropped off at Captain Dave’s Boating World or Capstone Church.

Because of the timing of this trip, all items will need to be received no later than next weekend, April 11th.

We know this is short notice. But we also know the need is real—and it’s urgent.

As always, thank you for standing with Pastor Eduardo and supporting the work being done in Cuba. Your prayers, your generosity, and your willingness to respond make it possible for us to go and serve in moments like this.
